These terms are written to be read, not to confuse you. If something is unclear or seems unfair, please tell us. We'd rather fix the terms than have you agree to something you don't understand.

What naru is

• naru is an AI-powered accountability companion. It is designed to help you articulate goals, stay honest with yourself, and follow through on commitments.
• Naru is not a therapist, coach, crisis counselor, or medical professional. If you're dealing with something serious, please talk to a human who is qualified to help.
• By using naru, you agree that it is not a substitute for professional mental health support.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use naru.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If your account is accessed by someone else because of how you managed your credentials, we are unable to take responsbility.
• One account per person. naru is a personal tool. It's not designed to be shared.

Your content

• Everything you share with naru (your goals, reflections, commitments) belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of it.
• You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of operating the service.
• You're responsible for what you share. Don't use naru to do anything illegal, harmful, or abusive.

How we expect you to use it

• Use naru honestly.
• Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data or functionality from the service.
• Don't use naru in any way that could harm others or that violates applicable laws.

What we promise

• We'll work hard to keep naru available, useful, and improving.
• We'll be honest with you about what the product can and can't do.
• We won't change these terms in ways that harm you without giving you reasonable notice and a chance to leave before the changes take effect.

What we can't promise

• naru is provided as-is. We can't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that it will work for everyone in every situation.
• AI systems can make mistakes. Naru may occasionally say something that's off-base. Don't treat its responses as authoritative on anything that matters significantly.
• We're not liable for decisions you make based on conversations with naru. You're responsible for your own choices.

Pricing and cancellation

• Pricing details will be made clear before you're ever charged.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll retain access through the end of your billing period.
• Refund requests are handled case by case. We'll be reasonable.

Ending the relationship

• You can delete your account at any time. We'll delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we do this, we'll tell you why unless we're legally prevented from doing so.

The legal bit

• These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which naru is incorporated.
• If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
• These terms represent the entire agreement between you and naru regarding use of the service.
